Meets — Track & Field

Field events

Score throws and horizontal jumps attempt by attempt. QuickMeet tracks each mark, handles fouls and passes, and ranks athletes by their best.

What counts as a field event

In QuickMeet, field events are the throws and horizontal jumps — events measured by distance, where each athlete gets several attempts and the best mark counts. The most common are:

  • Throws — Shot Put, Discus, Javelin, Hammer Throw.
  • Horizontal jumps — Long Jump, Triple Jump.

Not the same as vertical jumps

High Jump and Pole Vault are vertical jumps, scored a different way — bar by bar, with makes and misses at each height rather than a best distance. They have their own page: Vertical jumps.

Score a field event

Each athlete's Best mark updates automatically, and the standings re-rank as you go.

What's tracked

  • Multiple attempts per athlete, each with its own mark.
  • Fouls and passes recorded distinctly from valid marks.
  • Automatic best-mark ranking across the flight.

Tip

Don't have a device free to score at the pit? Hand an event to a coach or official with an official access link — no account needed.
