Lineup builder

Plan who runs, throws, and jumps in what — before the bus leaves. The lineup builder helps you assign athletes to events and confirm every spot is filled.

What it is

The Lineup Builder (Coaching → Lineup Builder) is a planning board for a track & field meet. Create a lineup named for the meet it's for (e.g. “Spring Classic”), add the events you're entering, and assign athletes to each — across multiple days if it's a multi-day meet. It's TF-only; cross country doesn't use a lineup builder.

Build a lineup

  1. 1

    Open the Lineup Builder

    Sidebar → CoachingLineup Builder.

  2. 2

    Create a lineup

Choose New Lineup, name it after the meet (e.g. “Spring Classic”), and link it to one of your QuickMeet meets. If the meet isn't in QuickMeet, you can still plan a lineup for it by entering a name and date instead — you just won't be able to submit entries from it later.

  3. 3

    Add events

Add the events you plan to enter, organized by day if needed.

  4. 4

    Assign athletes

Place athletes into each event and scan for gaps or over-commitments before meet day.

  5. 5

    Submit to the meet

If the lineup is linked to a QuickMeet meet, use Submit to Meet to push individual event entries straight into it — no need to re-enter athletes by hand. Lineups for meets you haven't created in QuickMeet are plan-only; there's nothing to submit them to.

Submit to Meet overwrites individual entries

Submitting a lineup replaces your team's individual entries for every event in that lineup with what's assigned in the builder. Relay entries aren't affected — relays still need to be entered separately in the meet's entries area.
