WTF: Line Up Builder
Happy Friday!
Today’s WTF highlights a track feature that may not be top of mind as we head into cross country season, but it’s one you’ll definitely want when track rolls around.
QuickMeet Lineup Builder makes creating meet lineups fast and easy.
Start by choosing whether you’re building a lineup for a QuickMeet-hosted meet or an ad hoc meet (one that isn’t hosted on QuickMeet). If the meet is hosted on QuickMeet, once your lineup is complete you can load it directly into the meet as entries, complete with seed times and marks. For ad hoc meets, you can download a copy of your lineup to share with your team or keep on hand during the meet.
Next, add the contested events and set your entry limits. Entry limits help keep your lineup within the meet rules, ensuring you don’t accidentally enter too many athletes in a particular event.
Adding athletes is as simple as dragging and dropping their names onto an event. If an athlete has a previous result for that event in QuickMeet, their best time or mark will automatically appear next to their name, making lineup decisions even easier.
Lineup Builder also keeps track of how many events each athlete is entered in, helping prevent overloading athletes on meet day.
After an ad hoc meet, you can even enter results directly into QuickMeet using the same lineup, making it easy to keep your athletes’ performances up to date throughout the season.
