WTF: Seasons

Greetings and Happy Friday!

For most of you, XC season is under way, which is exciting!

I’ve got a short and sweet WTF for you today, all about “Seasons” in QuickMeet.

Since each state has slightly different season start and end dates, hard-coding a season in QuickMeet wasn’t feasible. Having a start and end date for a season is important for tracking progress and goals.

Creating a season is fairly straightforward. Click on Seasons in the sidebar, then Add Season in the top right corner. Give the season a name, year, start date, and end date.

The tricky season is Indoor Track, which straddles the line between calendar years. An indoor meet in February 2027 belonging to a “2026 Indoor” season correctly saves bests under 2026, not 2027.

Everything else in QuickMeet should honor the season based on its start and end dates: Workouts, Meets, PRs, etc.

I have some great reporting features planned for the next few months. Once they launch, I’ll be sure to update you here.

Have a great weekend!
