WTF: Attendance
Happy Friday!
XC preseason starts next week in my state, and I know this is an exciting time of year for many of you.
I’m sure if you’ve poked around QuickMeet for any length of time, you’ve noticed the Attendance feature. It’s a pretty straightforward feature, but it’s an important part of managing your team.
When you log in to your dashboard, you’ll see an overview of everything going on with your team, including your attendance data.
On the Attendance page, you’ll see a simple list of your athletes in alphabetical order. You can also sort by gender if that’s easier for you.
Most coaches will press the Mark All Present button as a baseline, then go back and mark individual athletes as Absent, Excused, or Late as needed. In QuickMeet, these categories don’t really have any other function beyond giving you, the coach, an indication that someone wasn’t present. What you do with that information is up to you.
As you progress through the season, you can keep an eye on attendance trends and hopefully address any issues before they become a problem.
It’s a simple feature, but sometimes the simple stuff is the stuff that makes coaching a little easier.
Best of luck with your season!
