New WTF: Goals

Welcome to another edition of WTF!

This week’s WTF is all about Goals.

As coaches, we all know the value of setting realistic but challenging goals. QuickMeet includes two ways to set, track, and achieve goals throughout the season.

Coach-Assigned Goals

Coaches can assign goals for athletes in the Coaching section. Goals can be created for any track and field event or cross country race.

Once a goal is set, QuickMeet uses it to help plan workout times that are appropriate for that athlete’s target performance. As meet results are entered—either automatically from QuickMeet-hosted meets or manually by a coach—QuickMeet tracks each athlete’s progress toward their goal. When a goal is achieved, it’s easy to set a new one and keep the momentum going.

Athlete-Assigned Goals

The real power comes when athletes begin setting goals for themselves.

To enable this, simply invite athletes to create a QuickMeet account. Inviting athletes is easy—select the athletes you’d like to invite, and QuickMeet will send each of them a personalized invitation link.

NOTE: We take privacy ver seriously. We only collect the minimum amount of information when an account is created (only name and email are required). We don't send any marketing emails to athletes.

Once they’ve created an account, athletes have access to a streamlined version of QuickMeet where they can view their workouts, goals, injuries, and performances.

From there, athletes can create goals for multiple events or races. Those goals are visible in the coach’s view, making it easy to have meaningful conversations about progress and expectations throughout the season.

Goals help keep athletes motivated, focused, and invested in their own improvement. Whether they’re set by the coach, the athlete, or both, they’re a simple but powerful tool for building a successful season.
